What an experience! I'm at a loss for words, which is ironic considering how involved I became on the platform. It's cliché to say that I finish Cohort 8 as a changed person, but it's true. When I first started, I felt like a freshman on the first day of college again. The platform was shiny and new. I was so thrilled to learn and share ideas with like-minded individuals. Now, the platform is like a university library where I've spent countless hours studying. The posts, DMs, and conversations I've left there, the bricks for the foundation for the next Cohorts. Leaving Cohort 8, I feel like I've lived many lives: the first victims of climate change in the Global South; fearless entrepreneurs determined to make any lasting dent in reducing greenhouse gas emissions; intrepid teachers continuing to educate future generations of the climate problem we've all inherited; undaunted political To be honest, the various distinctions recognized by the Fellowship belie the impact that the community had on me. I was only able to get these distinctions because I piggy-backed off of everyone else in the Climatebase community. Without them, I would have no distinction.
