## Notes Today, [[2025-10-08]], I felt deeply unsatisfied by how slowly traffic moved through the center of Madrid. I was on my way to the climbing gym in Cuatro Caminos and it was faster to walk the distance of several bus stops than it was to take the bus. Additionally the bus got so crowded that people had to wait for the next one. As a result, I decided to come up with some ideas to resolve the issue. - Traffic grid-wide limit on being in certain areas. Traffic between Atocha and Cibeles is insane at 2pm. Imagine if the city penalized people in a certain area of traffic. It would be like Amazon Go, but for cars. It doesn’t event have to be for a large area—just a few blocks to make it easier to understand traffic patterns. Only track enter/exit for now. The concept is like the timer for waiting in a taxi, but applied to everyone in an area. - Could the reverse of the above be applied to incentivize alternative modes of transportation? - Track people who ride bikes and give them prizes or gift cards? - Random or gamified? - Solve bus-overcrowding: deploy additional buses in the same route when buses reach a certain threshold capacity. Could reroute the closest underutilized buses to busy routes ## Referencias - [[Tech Ideas MOC]]
